Since the Middle Ages, this hydraulic system has carried water into the town, powering and fulling mills, and later supporting the development of ironworks and glassworks.<\/p><p class=\"s4\"><span class=\"s5\">You can follow the river upstream to the springs of Le Vene or to the ancient thermal baths of Le Caldane, already frequented in Etruscan-Roman period.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"s4\">SentierElsa is enchanting in every season.
